Heavy strand with massive antique black Stone beads from Africa. Beads measure in diameter from ca. 32mm down to ca. 19mm, weight is ca. 176 gram. I aquired these beads twenty years ago but the previous owner was not able to tell me what type of stone this is. These beads look in shape and size similar to the ancient green amazonite of Africa. These beads here are nearly black with some white flecks or green coloration. Could be serpentine, black jade ... ? The beads show various signs of antiquity like damages and scratches - might be neolithic but as mentioned age or exact origine is unknown. If you know anything about them please let me know
