Rare antique Idar Oberstein banded Agate Silver Choker Macramé Necklace. Agate measures ca. 21x20mm, weight is ca. 18 gram. Necklace is made with irish waxed linen and 925 sterling silver beads. Worn usually tight around the neck but is adjustable in size. This is a very nicely banded, large antique Agate bead from Idar Oberstein that was made for the african trade, made between ca. mid of 19th to mid of 20th Ct. with some small signs of age like small damages (see pictures)
